Yes!, I got one of those silver card.
First of all I wanted Visa, they gave me Master. Then I realised their billing procedure... it was definitely different from what is written in the booklet & the FAQs section of infinity. Next came the ’’service taxes’’.... guess what I had the service tax debted twice.. when I brough to their notice... they promptly reversed it in next statement... but the lower amount one!!!
But I feel the card has it’s own advantage if you are an infinity user. One can have a look at past statements online and get to keep track of every details as and when you want. The best part is autodebit facility ... so one need not worry of defaulting or missing the last date. All you need to do is compute how much extra over the min. amount you want to pay and issue a cheque.
I never had any problems with the cheques being misplaced. Am still in my first year of CC, so it’s too early to conclude. My colleagues had tough time with this card. May be I have been lucky!!!
ICICI thank you... your auto-approved personal loan based on credit card really helped me and it couldn’t have come at better time. What else ? hmm... the lady over the phone has the sweetest voice and is always eager to help ;-). One thing I want to mention here... I told them several times I prefer internet banking to tele banking still they force me to go thru that tele banking demo, may be they want me to be prepared for the rainy day when Internet is down. Yes, .... one more thing online transactions are very easy to make. The web site is easy (all min. required info) & quite fast to navigate (over 64kbps line).
Go for it, spend and pay up as soon as possible. Thats the key to stay ahead of your creditors. Most people I met are not happy with ICICI cards. So just be careful.
