My son under 18 Years having student account with IDBI - Ranaghat Branch, Nadia, West Bengal. Due to 1 year inactivity account became dormant. Without knowing I transffered 54K for School Fees and other expenditure in his account. When he went to withdraw at home branch he was told that his account was dormant and has to update his KYC and apply to reactivate his account. He submitted his KYC and applied to reactivate account on 16th August 2023. Managers Asst. told him it will take 30 days minimum to activate his account and questioned that without their permission why I sent money to his account? Dont you think it was a weird statement that I have to take their permission to send money to my sons account. Anyways after 10 days my wife visited the branch and the staffs behavior was very rude with her. Since I am working on Ship I was helpless so I raised a complaint online and believe me till today i.e 2nd September 2023 the matter is not resolved. I deal with other Banks also but such behavior with customers I have never seen in my life. Avoid this Bank. They are worth zero. If there was below 1 star rating I would have given that.
