Poor Service and Poor Marketing

We have a CA of our company with IDBI bank Ltd, the a/c is almost 2years old now, and we had started our company with this a/c. The Officer who met us for opening the a/c was Mr. Thangarajan Nadar from chembur branch of IDBI while opening I must say he was superb as if there is no better service like theirs, so our first encounter.


1) Opening the a/c was fine


2) Our fist cheque gets bounced(Why?) 5th day of opening the a/c


Because our officer thangarajan forgot to update the system with authorized signatory.


Above all that we bare charges of 6USD for cheque bouncing charges from the party.


For which there was no refund, so decided to donate the money to IDBI. But then a new era started


we had some access fund in our a/c for which we thought we would FD(2 Nos)(2 separate Amts) it for some time so the period choosen was 1 month while doing so our great smart fellow(Nadar) was sooo nice again as if he was the Manager or CEO he promised us certain points


1) If anytime the CA has shortage of fund, the FD would be automatically be broken and the fund would be used to manage the shortfall.


2) There would be no problem anytime even if the fund falls the shortfall limit of 10, 000


So we where very happy, cause we had kept enough FD that it would take care of the issues if any, as mans bad luck is not known.


Everything goes smooth there passes some 7months the Fds are auto renewed without any further clarification the company takes a growth of 70% and our transaction’s increase. No complaints till here.


So the cheques are deposited, cash flow is managed everything smooth, and there starts the mess one fine day. We get a call from the CPU(central processing Unit) that we have a cheque issued to X party which would be bounced if you don’t deposit cash in an hour’s time. So I personally rush to the IDBI chembur bank, to check what is the problem because as per our we had deposited a CITIBank Cheque for clearing which was of pune, and was not a at par cheque okie our mistake but still we have a FD, and then I ask the counter lady that why is there a diff we have enough deposit for which we understand our 1 deposit is already broken, for shortage of fund and there is 1 more cheque. Then I ask the lady why is it that you are not breaking the next FD, for which we understand that it was never linked to our a/c. So I trace Mr. Nadar who gives me a reason when we had filled the form their system was down so he had to perform a manual link which he forgot.


Now for this we pay a charge of 600Rs. Towards the bank. The real funny drama now begins, I meet the Manager/ Head of the branch Mr. Rajesh Gupta(Ex Banker from Union Bank) I guess not to mention too much on the same. He understands all the points and Mr Nadar is missing from the entire scene, and then he tell us that he doesn’t have the power to reverse the money cause his powers are limited, I guess he must have joined the railway dept or water pump dept, and promises us that he will surely put up the matter to his AGM(Asst Gen manager) IDBI tower, after almost a week of reminders on phone & email I understand that the charges have to be barred by us. So we now plan to close the a/c. While we now start scanning the statement we find that there are charges like cheque book issue charges for the quarter wherein we haven’t taken any cheque book. So we mail this guys back for which they reverse the same and clarify good of this guys.


Now a new drama, 110Rs every quarter for Debit Card. While we had opened the a/c we had returned the card back, to Mr. Nadar who had destroyed it in fornt of us never updated the system


and now we bare the charges.


Today I finally thought of posting it on the most powerful media, the internet because I have been sending emails for the past 1 week now to Mr. Nadar, Rajesh & Sweta verma.


But they hardly care to reply me, Mr. Rajesh Gupta the manager of IDBI chembur says Mr. Nadar is on leave, so he wont be able to help, I dont know if Mr. Rajesh Guota ever has helped himself for the same.


I guess IDBI truely wants to join the PSU race & charge customer ICICI rates.


Guys my honest opinion instead of getting urself frustrated with this kind of no care staffs like Nadar & Gupta you consider opening up a/c’s with banks like NKGSB in Mumbai, Saraswat Bank, HDFC, Kotak Bank, Yes bank etc.


Pls dont open your a/c with IDBI and spread this message, l
