IDBI Bank launches investment-cum-insurance plan

IDBI Bank has launched a retail investment product for the retired personnel and voluntary retirement seekers combining fixed deposit, an investment plan and group insurance to give wealth management advice and provide for medical expenses.
The scheme named ’Golden Years’ plan with a fixed deposit of minimum Rs 50, 000 and a facility for monthly interest payments would provide medical insurance cover to individual and family up to Rs 5 lakh, the bank said in a release here on Monday. This group medical plan through arrangement with the National Insurance Company also provides a free personal accidental death insurance, it said. Account holders would be eligible for free investment advisory services, the bank said. - PTI
