Yes, Do not switch to idea, even in your wild imagination you will never have an !dea of troubles you have to go through.
My bad times started the moment I decided to move to idea netwok from BSNL Cellone. I do not have any complaint on taking 7 days to switch network, misplaced application forms or absense of printer or xerox machine in idea store in bangalore.
I have provided my Aadhar Card color photocopy + BSNL postpaid bill while applying for the connection. Once I got the confirmation of porting I have called the number provided for the verification. Verification went fine and I received a warm welcome from their side.
After 2 weeks of porting yesterday 24/4 someone from my native called on alternate number and told my number is not working and they were trying since morning. On dialing out I realized that my incoming and out going barred.
To my surprise it is barred without any SMS intimation or a call. At night I called customer care and they informed me that it is because of negative verification.
My question to !dea is,
Is it the way things work at idea? Dont you have a courtesy to inform the customer before disconnecting the service?
Customer care asked me to visit idea store.they do not have any !DEA on what I need to submit or what additional document they need? Is there any better identity than Aadhar card + BSNL bill. I stay at my own apartment for last 7 years that to a well known area in bangalore.
Do anyone accountable in IDEA y who can answer how they did the verification and what mistake they found? A customer who is resident and owned house at prime location staying there for 7 years have to go through this trouble then what is in the store for others? Remember I am not a new customer, I switched from BSNL postpaid and submitted the bill too.
Do your employees wake up morning thinking how to screw the happiness of customer?

customer care at the store doesnt need my ID proof now, they need an official mail from my mail ID and alternate contact number. I have sent a mail
As per the customer care at store negative verification can happen
Physical verification of address and door lock - A lie, Always security at gate and if I am not present at home and if anyone come to me they inform me on my mobile. This never happened as I confirmed with security staff.
Called on your number and not reachable
May be, but when I am in meetings or driving I wont pick the call. But they expect us to pick the call.
My analysis - Most of their customer seems to be students, small time shop keepers, office assistants, clerks or other jobs who have freedom to pick call anytime. They expect same from mid level executives as well.

Hence, we request you to kindly visit our nearest My Idea Richmond Road office along with your documents to assist you better in this regard.
· Duly filled Customer Agreement form (Available at My Idea)
· Photo ID Proof (Voter ID card/PAN card/Driving License/Passport/Identity card issued by state or central govt. /Photo Credit card)
· A local address proof (Voter card/Passport/Driving License/LIC policy/Bank or Credit card statement issued in last two months/RC copy of your vehicle)
What a company and what a customer care they have ? So I got connection without application(CAF) :-)))
Looks like more fun to follow... I may have to forego my number now rather than wasting my time.
Another SAD thing is the pathetic state of youths who employed in these job who just not using their brain of do not even try to look at the mail to understand the actual situation of the customer.
Re-verification done on 26-apr and got back the connection active on 27-Apr 11 AM.
Without resubmitting any documents got the connection back but who will pay me for the harassment I gone through in last 3 days without an active mobile connection
*My suggestion - If you are employed in IT like job & do not have a personal assistant then not to go for this connection, there is lot or running around between your work and store required. Customer care is pathetic none of them are empowered to take decision. People who are empowered to take decision wont give a damn about customer and they hide behind front-line customer support.*
*My experiences with IDEA customer care do not allow me to trust them in short them, I cant rule out one fine day some moron wake up and disconnect me from network without intimating and with some random reason*

Update on 14th May-
As per my plan I have 400 minutes of free usage and I took 1 GB GPRS usage for Rs-125
Fun started now,
In my free usage I hardly used 20 minutes and my GPRS usage is almost 100 MB that is almost 10% of my GPRS plan.
Today I received a call from customer care saying I have crossed the credit limit of Rs-1200 and I have to make interim payment to avoid disconnection.
So until bill generated they calculate 2 Paise per KB. I do not think such law exists in companies in sub Sahara countries. I doubt we live in a banana republic where there is no rule of law prevails. I am going to write this to TRAI and see if ti is with their knowledge.
