Pay and regret!

I paid for my car insurance in the first week of January 2016. Though I had mentioned all details correctly on their online form, when I received the insurance document my wife’s name was printed and not mine. Reason given by the Cust. Service Agent: My wife’s email ID was mentioned and the system picked up her details. I can understand If I had used her online account to login. However, I had filled an unrelated form elsewhere.


The car make and model details were wrongly printed as well.


Second iteration to the policy issued: The car model was changed correctly. However, this time the insurance holder’s name changed from my wife to the previous car owner’s name.


Since the car was under transfer from previous owner, the selling agent had asked me to share the Transfer forms which I had done at the time of buying policy and after receiving the policy with the incorrect details I mailed the forms again.


At the time of sharing my experience, its been 40 days and still I have not received the corrected insurance copy. This is despite numerous mails. Even the so called Chief Grievance Officer does not respond to may mails. Most pathetic customer service I have come across.


If this is the attitude now, I can well imagine their attitude during claims. They are one of those companies who will ignore you after receiving money! Customer service is a hollow department there.


I will not renew my policy with iFFCO tOKIO next year and will not recommend to anyone.


Buy their policy at your own risk.
