One of the biggest online shopping scams

Order no: I27041200619


Ordered Videocon 21" CRT TV for Rs.5480 on 27-Apr-2012 as it was cheapest price for a 21" TV both online and offline, the same old trick of Cheaters and Fake Shopping site Indiaplaza.com for which I have fallen prey again.


After that, I have raised many tickets(complaints) on their site, but as usual nobody responded to the tickets.


As you all know, Customer is always last priority for Indiaplaza.


After nearly one month, I got a mail from Indiaplaza that my order is being cancelled and the money will be refunded.


It’s been almost 10 days since I got this mail, but still the order status says the item is Ready To Ship.


If they don’t have the product, why did they take the order? They should show the product as Out of Stock as other genuine sites.


Now they are non even refunding my money.


In hope of this order, I lost other good offers on TV’s and lost my mney also.


Their strategy is, give fake offers which are cheapest online and offline, take orders for items even for the ones which are not in stock, then cancel the order, do not refund the amount for 2-3 months, enjoy the money and use it for their business for all these days.


People can imagine how many crores of rupees they may be accumulating with these fake orders of such big amounts. They get interest free money for few months like this illegally.


This should be considered as a big scam and Enforcement Directorate should investigate the matter and find out how many such big orders they are cancelling and on an average, how much time they are taking for the refunds of cancelled orders.


I first thought of filing a case in Consumer Court. But now I will be filing a written complaint with proofs to Enforcement Directorate. I will also collect similar complaints in various consumer complaints sites on Indiaplaza.


This is the same strategy being followed by Timtara site also.
