Ordered a book with them first in Oct 2012. It never came, and I never came to know why. Their my accounts section showed problem with card authorization, but how would I know.since even for successful authorizations it was the same message! Luckily the card wasn’t charged, so I just cancelled the order.
Now, after a month I ordered another book, since I had a coupon from Amex. This time, my card was charged, but the’authorization failed message was still there! A day later, I got a call from’first flight courier’ that they have received a pkg which is in Mysore( it was supposed to be BLR!), and the shipping address is MISSING the CITY( it had the correct pin code though). They confirmed my address and that it will be delivered to me the next day. It NEVER came! Then I called FF courier and told them to track it. They told the delivery city they have is Kolkata! All this while we were using the SAME tracking no. In any case, subsequent calls to them didn’t work, so I called Indiaplaza. What a shameless piece of crap they are.
Their people first promised in writing it will be delivered tomorrow, which NEVER happened. The guy was rude and lying to me, since he hadn’t tracked anything. Now, I made more calls to more Indiaplaza .had to retell the story to everyone. They always promise my case has been’escalated’ which was obviously a lie. They even make false promises in WRITING! I asked the guy to CANCEL the order. He’did’ and told me money will be refunded in a few days! When it didn’t happen for the next few weeks, I wrote to them again.
This time, they actually’escalated’, I actually got a call from a’manager’, and he asked me if I’d like to’cancel’ the order. I was furious. I had cancelled the order 3 weeks back! In any case he promised a refund again! Even in e-mails.
Interestingly, in the’orders’ section in the website, the amount charged it the original book price, without the copong discount! Interestingly(luckily) they charged me only the discounted price! Talk about user friendliness. Also, the shipping address shows for the order actually doesn’t have the city name!
It’s been 2 months now and NO REFUND yet! MY e-mails aren’t being responded to ANYMORE! What a screwed up e-commerce site and even worse customer service! This is a website that claims to be doing it in India for more than a decade! Looks like they don’t give a damn anymore and are probably planning to close shop. Won’t buy a thing from them even if they’re giving for free.
