Don't buy CDs from Indiaplaza.in

21 Feb 07 - I place order number #210220070582 for set of hithcock moives at Indiaplaza.in


22 Feb 07 - Movies are shipped by Indiaplaza.in


24 Feb 07 - I received the package


25 Feb 07 - I emailed indiaplaza that status of seven CD set was as follows




  1. The man who knew too much - Last 3 minutes of movie not working




  2. The 39 steps - Last 2 minutes of movie not working




  3. Secret Agent - Last 1 minute distorted but viewable




  4. The Lady Vanishes Disk 1 - Working




  5. The lady Vanishes Disk 2 - Working




  6. The sorcerer and the apprentice Disk 1 - Works for first 45 minutes of total 1 hour




  7. The sorcered and the apprentice Disk 2 - Doesn’t Work after initial 2 minutes






27 Feb 07- Indiaplaza emailed promising that the defective CDs would be picked up by them


05 Mar 07 - I emailed indiaplaza that the CDs were yet to be picked up


06 Mar 07 - Indiaplaza emailed reply that the CDs would be picked up in 2-3 days


06 Mar 07 - CDs were picked up by Elbee Courier at 1600 hrs


06 Mar 07 - I emailed indiaplaza that CDs have been picked up


07 Mar 07 - Indiaplaza emailed that "we will check if the item has been received by us and we shall follow up the same within 24 hrs" 1


3 Mar 07 - I emailed Indiaplaza that CDs were picked up 6 days ago but replacement has not been received


14 Mar 07 - Indiaplaza.in emailed reply that "we have instructed our fulfillment team to place an replacement order for the same, we shall follow up the matter and do the needful done."


19 Mar 07 - I emailed Indiaplaza that I had still not received the replacement CDs


20 Mar 07 - Indiplaza emailed reply that "we would like to inform you that we have escalated this matter to our fulfillment team very seriously and we shall follow up the same within 24 hrs."


22 Mar 07 - I emailed Indiaplaza that I had still not received the replacement CDs.


03 Apr 07 - I emailed Indiaplaza that I had still not received the replacment CDs


04 Apr 07 - Indiaplaza emailed reply that "we empathize with your feeling & we regret the inconvenience caused to you. we would like to inform you that we are checking this issue with concerned team. we request you to provide us 1 day’s time to update you on the same. Please accept our sincere apology for the delay & inconvenience caused to you. We are doing a comprehensive review of the processes to figure out how we can prevent the recurrence of such issues. "


04 Apr 07 - Indiaplaza emailed "We have now placed a new order in our system for these items. We are having the order processed and will ship out the same to you at the earliest. An email will be sent to you as soon as the replacement items are shipped out"


11 Apr 07 - I emailed to indiaplaza "While I have not received any email regarding shipment of this item, on your website the order shows as shipped on 04 apr 07. Today is 11 april and I am yet to receive the replacement item".


12 Apr 07 - "we would like to inform you that we have taken up this issue to our fulfillment team, I assure you that we will reship your ordered item in 2 days of business hours"


17 Apr 07 - I emailed indiaplaza that I had still not recieved the replacement item


20 Apr 07 - I emailed indiaplza "This is the umpteenth time I am sending you this reminder. Everytime you just promise prompt action and escalation but I have not received the replacement item.Can you do something other than giving assurances."


21 Apr 07 - Indiaplaza emailed reply "we would like to inform you that we have already taken up this issue to our fulfillment team and we are also investigating the same.We request you to give us 2 days of working hours so that we shall follow this matter and could get the needful done."


25 Apr 07 - I receive the replacement. It has the same defects as the original CD plus one of the CDs which worked earlier is also defective.


25 Apr 07 - I email indiaplaza.in about the item being defective and ask them what should I do.


26 Apr 07- Indiaplaza tells me that they are cancelling the order and the defective item would be picked up from my residence and a refund made.


30 Apr 07- Item is picked up from my residence. I will get the refund after the item reaches back.


By the time I get the refund(hopefully in next few days) it would be two and a half months from the time I placed the order. The beauty is that the refund would be after deducting the shipping charges
