I had ordered a tunik from Indiaplaza.in from their Valentine’s day collection and immediately paid Rs 1545 through internet banking. As usual after not keeping up the delivery schedule, as many people have written, they sent me a piece which was totally different in design, fabric and embroidery.
On writting to them they asked me to send images of the item delivered for further action.Meanwhile the image of the item was removed from their website and further they do not have item nos for identification. (Folks, if you shop with Indiaplaza do have a digital camera, you never know when you will need it.) Then after repeated reminders they told me that they had some problem with their courrier and they are not able to arrange pick up and I should ship the item back myself.
On my insistence that It was not my fault that I was saddled with the wrong item and after pointing out to them their"No Question Asked" Return Policy, they still made me ship it but agreed to pay the charges. But for that I had to send a copy of the courrier charges bill in PDF format. (Folks you also need to be somewhat IT literate when dealing with this portal).
Like many people have complained, even I had to keep on reminding them often even for this much. While all the time they were talking of a refund of the money and then after they received the item back, they credited the courrier charges to my account and bluntly informed a new order no. and said they will ship the correct piece in 5 days time. They did not reply to me repeatedly asking them as to how they will ensure the correct item will be shipped.
They reply you back each time with mandatory appologies and nothing else. They ask you what is your choice and then dump their decision on you. As expected after further delay I finally received a piece which is still not like the originally picture and also has less of embroidery. But since I was too tired of going through the whole rigmarole all over again and since I was very disappointed with the portal’s attitude, I decided to keep the piece much against my wishes. On being written about this, they reply back saying that the picture shown is only " indicative". In the other websites even a minor change in the item is not tolerated.
People, especially online shoppers, be careful with this portal when you buy clothes and such stuff.
