Ordering on India plaza has been the worst experience so far. I order a camera Cannon A 550 for my parents and I was told that it will be delivered as per my request. I got the confirmation Email and SMS as well, however they kept changing the order delivery date and finally I had to write a complaint about the delay in delivery and I got a call from the customer service department taht it will reach my parents in next 2 days and thereafter I got a regret email stating that they do not have the product in stock. I went back to their website and found the product still listed. Another colleague at work order the camera after a week of my order and he got his camera within 5 days but I got a regret mail.
I think there is no queing system in place . some orders go through and some are just regretted but the website never removes any products that out of stock or have a long lead time. My loss was not only the deal on the web site but also the assured gift of Rs. 5000/= during the diwali festive season , leaving aside the embarrassment of a surprise gift not reaching my parents on Diwali.
I suggest that one should call up the customer service team and check if items are in stock before they go ahead with their order, probably that will reduce the changes of a regret order.
