’’Look everything should be in balance’’.
For example, after every 10 deer there should be a lion.
Look here my fellow angels; here is the country of the United States. I have blessed them with prosperity and money. But at the same time, I have given them insecurity and tension....
And here is Africa. I have given them beautiful nature. But at the same time, I have given them climatic extremes....
And here is South America. I have given them lots of forests. But at the same time, I have given them lesser land so that they would have to cut off the forests...
So you see fellows, everything should be in balance.
One of the angels asked... ’’God, what is this extremely beautiful country here?’’
God said....... ’’Ahah...that is the crown piece of all, INDIA. My most precious creation. It has understanding and friendly people.Sparkling streams, serene mountains. A culture, which speaks of the great tradition that they live. Technologically brilliant and with a heart of gold.....’’
The angel was quite surprised ’’But God you said everything should be in balance.’’
God replied - ’’Look at the neighbours, I gave them.’’
But the Indians have done it again. They have upset the whole balance by putting the MIGHTY INDIAN ARMY in action.
As long as the Indian Army , amongst the largest in the world, is there protecting our Bharat Mata its ’’darna mana hai’’ for Indians and for our hostile neighbours its ’’ladna mana hai’’.
I would like to share with you all one of the ads of the Indian Army urging people to join it. It went like this
This stranger laughs when he is tickled just like you.
He is sad when he is hurt just like you.
He bleeds when he is pricked just like you.
But he will die for a stranger and the stranger is you.
I do not know the history of our armed forces much and many reviews have done a fantastic job on that part of the story so I will not go into that.
True to the saying actions speak louder than words, our armed forces have defeated Pakistan in the three battles we fought with them. Although ill equipped and unprepared they showed a lot of courage and strength while fighting China which took them also by surprise.(A recent document released by the Ministry of Defence reveals that Chinese had expected to complete the whole war game within 7 days.)
In Kargil, with all odds against the Army, they still managed to smoke out the infiltrators (but alas they were hugely disappointed when the Govt. of India ordered them not to enter Pakistan)
During Kargil one of the Majors got shot in his leg but still climbed on to a hill to destroy a camp of the infiltrators. He was constantly receiving orders from his seniors on the ground to abort the mission.But the major replied on his wireless ’’Yeh dil maange more sir’’ and went onto destroy the camp but was killed in the enemy fire.
Such is the stuff of which our army is made and I salute them.
