I was lured into trying Indiaweekly.com because of the lack of internet shopping sites in India. Also, most new movie releases take a lot of time to make it to India. Indiaweekly.com gets those DVDs a lot sooner(They are based in the US). I placed an order in March 2007. My credit card was charged immediately. Till date, I haven’t received the order.
I have spoken to their representatives over the phone and I have emailed their customer service too, but they are not ready to refund my money. In fact, their customer service people refuse to respnd now. Calling the US from India is not very cheap. I have made dozens of phone calls and left messages on their voicemail, but they just won’t get back to me. They stopped replying to my emails a while ago.
I will just have to file a claim with my credit card company now and hope for the best, but I want to warn all of you out there who might try a site like Indiaweekly.com. Stay away from it, unless you want to spend money for nothing.
