Airline is king, the rest just do or die

ANOTHER GLARING INSTANCE OF GROWING ARROGANCE IN A CHEAP (and not so cheap) AIRLINE. INDIGO IS GETTING FROM BAD TO WORSE.


Its deplorable how an airline can become greater than the customers they serve. I don’t think such stuffing up of discipline is seen anywhere in the army too.


I was booked In the 6E 463 from chandigarh to Bangalore. The flight was to take off at 2.25 PM and therefore latest boarding time was at 1.40. I reported late by 10 mins at 1.50 and was denied boarding. There were three other gentlemen begging to be included into the flight and their money saved. The behavior of the ground staff seemed they were hungry for the money at stake.


Such things are much easier to manage in small airports like Chandigarh where with a little help people can really make some adjustments and delight customers. in any case customers don’t arrive late on purpose but only when such circumstances compel.


Just then my friend standing outside called me to say that the aircraft was actually just taxing in. on enquiry this came to be true. the final time of departure of the flight was 2.50. the irony was that though I reported 1 hour before the actual time of take off, I was still not boarded.


IT WAS NOT THE DUTY OF THE AIRLINE TO INFORM ABOUT THE 25 MINUTE DELAY but the customers duty to pay dearly for a 10 minute delay. Can’t do anything myself but just inform gullible people that INDIGO is now clearly an "AVOID IF YOU CAN" airline.
