Infibeam responded after i posted this review

Minutes after I posted this review, I received a call from Infibeam and also a mail. They have convinced me that the product is brand new and will work with major carriers.


But I will post my final comments only after I receive the product and test it.For those who want to know, how the things proceeded, please go through the text below.


I had ordered a Blackberry phone on 14th December on Infibeam which was available at a very competitive price of 17500 (after 10% discount). Meanwhile I read some reviews that some e-commerce sites are selling used and refurbished items at cheap price. I was alarmed as Infibeam’s price (after 10% discount) came to about Rs 2000 less than that offered on other site and about Rs 3000 less that that offered on mobile stores.


I sent a mail to Infibeam Customer Care service on 16th Dec. But I haven’st received any reply and the product was shipped on 17th. Today i, e. on 18th Dec, I wrote another mail the copy of which is reproduced below.


Dear Infibeam,


I had made certain queries regarding this product through the Contact us interface on Sunday, 16th Dec 12. But I am yet to receive any reply.


Let me tell you that unless I get my concerns addressed, I will not be taking the delivery of the product.


Please expedite your response.


The queries were as follows

  1. Is the product imported by Redington India? If not who is the importer?

  2. Will Blackberry India’s 18 months’ warranty be valid on it?

  3. Is the product brand new, boxed and sealed by the company?

  4. Will it work with all Indian carriers particularly Airtel and Vodafone?

As a customer I am entitled to know all these details as these are not available on the site.


I had also asked to change the shipping address from my residence to my office in Delhi but I find that the same has not been done.


I tired to call you yesterday twice on the helpline number but after keeping me waiting for a few minutes, the line got disconnected on both the occasions when I had advanced to number 2 on the queue.


If possible answer my queries through mail or better on phone to ensure that the delivery is not returned.
