During my working tenure in Ghaziabad I happened to visit this institute just to get admission information for my brother. The institute, set up in 1990 is in NCR-Ghaziabad region. Their mission states of imparting global, innovative learning experience with state of art facilities in terms of infrastructure, but Im sorry to say that by no means IMS goes by its mission statement.
With a range of programmes from PGDBM, PG Diploma in Tourism management, MCA, BBA and many more I think the balance is somewhere drastically lost, may be in the morales and motivation level thats why student and faculty seems so dull in inducing anything new and progressive.
The infrastructure is pretty decent but lacks professional and modern touch to it. Despite of lot of space available the institute looks more of a housing society rather than an MBA/Professional institute.
If the outer view is dull, the inner campus is not different. I dont know why on earth despite of all those heavy names of Rajya Sabha members in your Board of Directors you cant have a world class building. A building much more smart and professional.
The facilities such as computer labs, library are too average and doesnt qualify for much praise.
What really needs applause is a Language Lab, but I doubt its utility as not many decent companies are coming for placements for student to sweat for mock Gd/PIS in this lab.
Placements are not of high pay packages, very average I should say and that too not 100 % whatever they state.
In all a very mediocre percentile that too of mediocre QUALIFYING EXAMINATION OF MAT qualify for admissions.
Hope that something drastic will be done to improve everything and to attract sharpest brains of the country........
