James is an in your face kind of comedy, that needs a special sense of appreciation. It demands very little of the viewer, in fact it demands us to leave our brains out. You might ask me what is so special about this as we have so many movies that defy logic and common sense.
By asking such a question, we are trying to under rate the director and his team. You would think that the movie is a bad one, which has so many cliches and a totally worthless plot and performances. The truth is, it was intentional. If we think that it is an action flick, we are at fault. James is a comedy except that the characters think otherwise.
Now, if you see the movie in this perspective, you are bound to enjoy it. There are so many things that one can enjoy...
The dead rabbit face that the hero manages throughout the movie....
’’I have a good body and nothing else’’ heroine....
villains who add to the comedy quotient...
amazingly inadequte and low value dialogues....
’’not even pardonable’’-songs......
If you want to have fun at some one’s expense(make the other person pay), or want assurance that even the dumbest of the dumb get their chance(to direct a movie)..or if you really want to buy yourself a headache.. you can watch this movie.
Now, u might ask me what is the ’’difference’’ in the title mean.... C’mon dont be joking... If an RGV movie review does not have this word, it is not complete... what do you say?
