Critic’s Comments

Way back when I was a kid growing up in the 1980’s, it was a proud moment if any one of us had a Rambo Poster or those Rambo Knife and Gun set. This movie, somehow,  bought back a part of my childhood. Sylvester Stallone is back doing what he does best, play Rambo. After the success of 2006’s Rocky Balboa(The only other character apart from Rambo that he does best), John Rambo proves to be an extremely fast paced, mindless yet hard core action film which wont bore you for one second. The action sequence are mind boggling and Sylvester Stallone, although he hardly has any lines in the movie, looks more strong than his previous ventures. Although the script is as hare brained as most of Stallone’s previous ventures, watch it for the mind boggling action scenes and don’t miss it if you are die hard Rambo fan.

Psst –

1)   *The role of Colonel Samuel Trautman was written out of the script after the demise of Richard Crenna in 2003. Stallone had started working on the script as early as that but production started only after Rocky Balboa.

2)   The movie had a worldwide release on 25th January 2008, exactly a week before the Revolutionary day amongst the Burmese Karen People.

Quotes

1)   “I have a father. I think, I don’t know.”

 2)   “I was drafted in nam; Why did you stay back? Its too complicated.”

3)     “When you’re pushed, killing’s as easy as breathing.”

4)     “Are you bringing in any weapons? Of course not; You’re not changing anything.”

*Oops-

Too much action for me to notice any goofs
