Huge starcast film about a New Delhi multi-billionare Yash Raichand (amitabh bachchan) and his relationship with his 2 sons. The adopted one, rahul (Shahrukh Khan) and the real younger one, rohan (hrithik Roshan). Along with wife nandini (Jaya Bachchan) he makes his sons follow all the traditions (ho-hum)of the family. He throws rahul out of the house when he marries a low profile downmarket girl, anjali(kajol). Then Rahul, anjali and sister pooja(kareena kapoor) along with tai(Fardia jalal) go to london to settle down. 10 years later rohan decied that he will reunite his brother with his family. Everyone knows what happens next. a 60 minute script extended to nearly 210 minutes on screen. Although the star acst is huge, the supporting cast of farida jalal, johnny lever, simone singh and rani mukherjee suffer from weak characterisations. What a disgrace to see so much amount of money being spend on everything but the script. Even another disgrace to see our national anthem and national song being palgarised in tyhe movie. To think of it karan johar tries to be like idol orson welles but comes no where remotely close. Everyone has given average performance except for shahrukh khan who has given a truly commendable performance, Don’t really blame the starcast when the script is pathetic.
