Hi Everybody...I just wanted to share a deterring experience with you. I had heard a great deal about kotak mahindra bank and thought of joining the happy group! But I was astounded by casual way they treat their upcoming customer! I wanted to open a trinity account...that is, saving, demat and trading accounts. As I was willing to have three accounts open at the same time I hoped for a little special treatment of fast service. The representative came to our place and gave me a bunch of forms which required hundreds of signatures.
I never opposed as it is mandatory.Then he said that my account will open in 3-5 working days..which we agreed.After that day...the cycle of dishonesty started.5 days became a month! I had also handed him the signed cheque of ten thousand rupees. Thereafter they were very heedless about my phone calls. The rep who had come vanished from the scene all together passing me the phone numbers of 4-5 people next in his chain...Thus, after a lot of headaches and pains I got back my cheque in three months with a sentence "Sorry we cannot open the account presently". If this is the kind of service a reputed bank like kotak provides then I am sure it wont last too long in a city like Mumbai where people have no time!
