There was a time when yash chopra brought out one good films after another...and lamhe was the peak he reached. this movie was way beyond its time..and probably why this movie didnt run as much as any other yash chopra movie.
the most captivating point of lamhe was its story line. yash chopra made with a very unusual story line. the hero falls in love with a girl older than her age, who in turn loves another man. unfortunately..she dies, leaving behind her daughter. the daughter grows up, and falls in love with the hero, and in the end they marry!
frankly, this I believe this is what irked many viewers and did not go well with people.
but, then...this movie is a classic in its own terms. yash chopra must be commended to have come out with such a unusual story line and make it work. of the cast, anil kapoor and sridevi gave one of their finest performances ever...especially anil kapoor comes up with a very mature performance. the music of movie too was very good and melodious. wahida raman too comes up with a good performance. and all kudos should go to anupam kher to add light moments to this otherwise serious movie.
all in all, its certainly a great movie and one that should not be missed by any body at all.
