At my friend’s recommendation, I and two other friends booked Leisure Drive’s weekend getaway package to Rishikesh, a week ago. Leisure Drive is a Travel consultant based in New Delhi and they offer car rental service- both within the city and outstation trips, pick & drop from airport/railway stations, local sightseeing, car pooling, special tour packages, etc.
Our weekend tour package included 1 night camping and white river rafting(3 times meal also included) in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The deal could not have been better as it was what we were looking for at INR 1, 800 per person(transport not included). Since it is a peak season to visit the place for adventurous sports, the prices are very competitive in the travel market. We narrowed it down with Leisure Drives as we thought they are more reliable. Because last year when I visited Rishikesh, we had to book for camping and rafting separately and it was not very feasible or convenient. Anyways, from New Delhi we headed straight to the camping area at Shivpuri in Rishikesh, the camping in charge took care of our stay in the camp nicely. We also went for a short trek with the camp boy with us as a guide. Trekking wasn’t included in our package but we tipped him before our departure from the camp. Next day, we headed back to New Delhi in the evening after we had fun with our rafting adventure.
The comfort always comes with a cost. So I must say the complete package deal with Leisure Drives was a great idea without having to involve third party vendors/agency for camping and or for rafting separately on our own. Our safety and security was also taken care of, not to mention but their 24*7 support was just a call away. I’d love to take their service again in the future and will happily recommend to anyone who wants to forget about all the travel itinerary headache for an adventurous trip.
