Poor quality of frames and worse customer service

Bought a high-power lens from the site in Feb 2017 with a free frame. At Rs.6790, thought it was a good deal given that similar spectacles from Titan cost me Rs.10000 in December 2012.


By June 2017, the coating on the frame started to come off. Called them up and asked them for a replacement. They replied saying that  they will pick up and send to Delhi(I stay in Bangalore) and then it will come back - the entire process taking 2 weeks. Given that I have high power in both eyes with the new number reduced by -2 in both eyes, I didn’t pursue the matter further.


This month, the frame coating continued to peel off, looking very ugly. With no solution in sight, decided to call Lenskart and take a chance of using the earlier spectacles, even though I still get a serious headache with the same.  Their representative took the spectacles on 12th September, assuring me it will reach Delhi by 16th.


On 16th Sep, followed up with the customer care team.  Asked them whether they got the spectacles. When they agreed, told them to replace the same lens - same frame and ship it back  ASAP.  When asked about the timeframe, the person said a total of 9 working days - so it should have been back here by today 25th September? He replied yes.


Called them up again last week, asking for the status. After listening to their’Fluffy fluffy me - fluffy fluffy you’ wait tone for a long time, the person AGAIN asked me if I wanted the same lens - same frame. A bit irritated, I replied "yes. and please hurry up".


Today morning, a lady from Lenskart again calls and asks the same question. Quite annoyed, I ask what they were doing for the last one week! She says she only got the message today, and asked me to please co-operate!


Again in the afternoon, another lady calls up asking the same question - would you like to go for the same frame or a different frame? Understanding that these people just won’t go ahead with my order, I re-re-re-confirm.


Somehow, I am surviving with an old spectacles, whose power is -2 greater than my current specs. Don’t know when(or whether) Lenskart will provide the new specs.
