Letsbuy.com cheating customers

I bought QNAP Turbo NAS Server TS-212 on 18th Mar 2012 (Order No: LSB-932766), and was pretty happy about the deal that I got, as I was searching for this home server for a long time, but never found any good rates. But my happiness was short lived. Product page stated that product will be delivered in 2-4 working days, but my order status still shows as ’In Process’.


I was curious and dropped an email to customtakeoutercare@letsbuy.com asking them about whether they would be able to deliver on time or not, and what does ’In Process’ means. Its been 3 days and I haven’t received any response from customtakeouter care.


Out of sheer frustration, I called their customtakeouter care no. and to my dismay (after long wait) the response to my query on the delivery date was " As you can see sir, the order is in process and hence you wont get it on time". Such arrogant tone and they have no ability to resolve any issues.


Upon pressing more, the guy raised a ticked (no. CC120351435) and said that they will come back to me in 24-48 WORKING HOURS!!!. So they need 2-4 working days to reply to a customtakeouter query on delivery. Thats very very shameful.


Even if I cancel my order (which I paid for by online payment), it will take 21 WORKING DAYS for a refund. They take money instantly, but need to wait for more than a month for a refund.


My trust on this site is completely eroded. If my product does not get shipped in few days, cancelling would be the last resort and I’ll again have to struggle to get my money back.


Do you want to take same chances on you hard earned money. Better choice would be ebay or flipkart or even amazon’s junglee.com.


Do yourself a favor and read other reviews to understand the plight of people who ordered from this site, so that you know what you are getting into.


I thought that because flipkart has bought letsbuy.com, their service may be as good as theirs.

There is a corporate response to this review. Their response has not helped till now. They said that they have assigned a care member to look into the matter, but nothing has happened till now.


Order status is still "In Process". There has been no communication from letsbuy.com on delivery date or about the delay. No signs of a delivery.


Taking someone’s money and not delivering services as per the stated terms amounts to cheating. Hope they understand the graveness of this accusation.

Contrary to what the corporate response states, no care member ever contacted me and they certainly did not take any action.


On 30-Mar-2012, I called up the customtakeouter care and after the regular waiting, my call was directed to a lady. On telling her about my plight, she apologized profusely. She then put me on hold, checked with the inventory and told me that product is indeed in stock and was not sure what was the reason for delay.


She told me that as tomorrow is a Saturday (a non working day) she has asked for the product to be shipped by today (Friday) evening. I got the product the next afternoon, thanks to her (one of the few people who actually care at letsbuy.com).

I would like to add a very interesting mail that I got from customtakeouter care on 29th March (11 days after I placed the order). They stated that the delay in shipment was because of Financial year closing audit!!! And the delay might be of 48 hrs!!!! Ridiculous.

The only thing that I now use LetsBuy.com is for checking prices online and then buying goods from shops directly (if the product is not available on flipkart.com).


I certainly do not have the patience nor the time to waste running after letsbuy to get my product delivered. I wont shop there again unless I see significant improvements in the reviews being posted here.
