Decent scanner, printer sucks

The Lexmark P3150 Printer/Scanner/CF reader is a over-rated piece of crap. The card reader (compact flash, sd, etc) works ok, the scanner is half decent, but the printer is .. well.. read on.

  1. The printer cannot do a stack feed. You need to _manually_ feed the paper each time around

  2. The sensor to check if the lid is up or down is so flimsy, it broke the second time I opened and closed the lid. Now the printer thinks that the lid is UP, so I need to push the button with my finger (not exactly a good thing to do each time I need a 1 page print)

  3. The printer supports ’’photocopy’’ mode ..... but works ONLY when it is connected to a PC - I can’t use it if my PC is either (a) off (b) not running lexmark software (c) doesn’t have the software (eg if I connect a laptop) (d) If I am in a non-windows operating system (Linux, BSD, ...) What more needs to be said! I’d recommend you don’t buy this unless you get it for <RS.2500 body having.< of trouble the worth is scanner only as --- ->
