This book is a must have for any would be traveller to Japan, or for anyone who just wants to learn the lingo.
The book is organised into several different colour coded sections depending on the subject you are looking tho talk about. Red is the first one and contains all of the necessary rules of how to speak Japanese. I recommend you have a look at this part of the book first so that you have a bit of an idea on sentance structure, verbs, days of the week, currency, time, numbers and particles etc.
Blue follows this and features travel information like, finding busses, booking accomodation and finding changerooms, toilets etc.
Green is my favourite part. It contains sentances for making conversations. Like how old are you? What is your e-mail address? Isn’ the weather nice today? And all things like that. It also contains a ’romance’ section which my friends and I have had a few laughs over.
Orange holds all you need to know about food. Tips on how to eat, how the table should be set out and how you like your steak cooked. werudan ni shite o kudasai is what I need to remember. (Well done please).
Aquaey blue is about health and is pretty good to know if you aren’t filling that well. It also has stuff to say if you are under arrest or have been mugged etc.
Purple is a two way dictionary. First English to Japanese and then vice versa.
This is a pretty nifty book. Everything you need to know. There are handy hints on customs and local talk boxes containing slang words.
On the back and front covers, inside, there are boxes containing a few necessary terms for quick access, hello, goodbye, where’s the toilet, etc.
I showed it to some of my Japanese friends when they came over and they thought it was pretty good.
It’s very interesting and full of handy advice, thousands of Japanese words and sentances for every situation you are likely to encounter. From I don’t take drugs, mayaku wa yarimasen, Isn’ it hot today, kyo wa atsui des ne, and where is the toilet?, toyre wa doko des ka.
