BIZZAIRE...& brilliant!!

I watched Magnolia ’coz it got a lot of hype from the critics all over...And they werent wrong... Theres one word to describe the film ...BIZZAIRE!!!!

MAGNOLIA is about a day in the life of a couple of dozen residents of California. As the film moves, these lives overlap, in some weird but brilliant manner, until the end when the day ends with a bizarre event. This wonderfully made movie takes you through the lives of many interesting characters, develops several extremely memorable sequences.

There are so many individually great, even phenomenal scenes and there also are also a couple of boring, seemingly endless scenes. The opening is easily one of the weird openings I’ve ever seen. It had an equally bizzaire ending I have ever seen. It’s one of those scenes that will be remembered for a long time by those people that see it.

Julianne Moore and Tom Cruise each give amazing performances, with Tom Cruise rocking in the role of a macho sex guru whose policy is to ’’Seduce and Destroy’’. Infact this was the shortest role in Tom Cruise film career but certainly one of the best. If u r a Tom Cruise fan u gotta see this movie to believe it.

The movie oozes with intensity & originality all over it.All in all certainly one of the best movies of 1999.

In the end this film will be loved mostly by film freaks who love films. Its a must for film students too. Entirely original way to make a film.
