After reading lot of reviews and test rides I bought logan 1.6 GLS petrol version of the car, it is really a value for money car. Even their advertisement does not say anything about immobilizer. It is fitted with an immobilizer. I am not sure about the tubeless tyre, but the person demonstrated me informed me that it is equipped with tubeless tyre. I felt quite comfortable driving this car than swift or Tata indigo.
Positioning of the controls (indicator & viper) seems to be not made for right hand drive. My assumption is that this is a European car where only steering is placed at right side for Indian roads. Power of engine is quite good for a low priced car. I have completed only 1020 KM which I feel that I am not qualified to write an overall review so I will write more once I complete 3000 Km.
Review after 3000 KM and first service I had a long drive of 2000 KM through Karnataka, tamilnadu and
kerala . There was lot of pot holes on the road most of the time I could not avoid it. Surprisingly logan handled it comfortably. While returning from Kerala I took satyamangalam route which is almost 45 degree steep and 25 hairpin turnings, I could manage to climb it on third/second gear with a load of almost 400 KG. Pulling power was never been a problem.
Fuel economy
On the highway without A/c I drove almost 80 Km which I got 17.1 Km/l mileage. While returning from Kerala I switched on A/c for the whole trip I got 14.4 KM/L mileage(consider the stretch of 20 KM steep hill with 25 hairpin turnings where I switched off the A/c)
On city driving at Bangalore I use A/c almost half of the drive time. Due to traffic chaos it takes me almost 1 hour to cover 16 Km(one way) every day, rarely I get a chance to drive on 4th gear. Here I get 11.7 KM/L milage. I don’t think it is a bad number for a big car.
After sale service offered by logan There was a prolonged demand for remote boot opener which is been resolved now. Mahindra logan offered a scheme for existing customers to fit boot opener for a nominal charge
of Rs-500. I am happy that I availed this offer and it is functioning well.
Driving pleasure.
I had a continues driving of 542 Km through state and national highways, because of the condition of some state highways it took 12 hours for me to cover this distance, Of course with a break of 1 hour. I didn’t have a back pain which usually happen while travel by my last car (borrowed).

Last week I had trip to kerala, while coming back from kerala at early morning there was not any road obstructions so I could travel 80 KM/hr until I reach coimbatore. almost 120 KM I did not switch on A/c amazingly I got 18.6 KM/Ltr mileage. Rest of the trip I traveled by switching on the a/c. after covering a distance on 526 KM I got an average 16.6 mileage.
