Review : M & M scorpio is a pleasant surprise from a company known for its ruggedness. Lets look at the features of the scorpio one by one
UNDER THE BONNET

1) engine is highly powered and very responsive although its reliability is still not very well known
2) transmission is as smooth as butter except sometimes when you change to second gear
3) steering is speed sensitive and the car is easy to move even in highly congested areas
4) a/c is powerful enough to make you catch the chills although the rear vents could have been placed better
5) suspension although the ride is bumpy for the driver sometimes its real smooth for the ppl seating in the second or third row (it also has a lot to do with our roads)
6) mileage is not very good but not much bad either 8-10 in city as well as high- ways with aircon on
EXTERIOR

1) front of the car is absolutely sexy with a korean touch with it
2) people complain bout the ugly rear looks of the car but I say add the spoilers and it looks way better
3) the cladding on the glx version looks the best with body painted colors
4) wide bridgestone tyres look gr8 although alloys would have been better
INTERIORS

1) although not super comfy the car is comfortable enough
2) the middle console is just class
3) the speedo, odo, rpm meter are white dials which again looks attractive
4) the seats are fire resistant
5) top of the line model has power windows, central locking etc
6) dual colored plastic and leather are used for the interiors which actually look dull lets look at some more pros and cons
PROS

+still turns heads whereever you go
+hard to believe its made by mahindra
+only car to win cnbc, bsm and bbc awards in the same year
CONS

-lack of choice of colors
-dull interior colours
-mileage could have been better
-not highly polished
-not very good customer service from dealers
-a bit noisy
-slight room for improvement
FINAL VERDICT

M & M scorpio is a pleasure to drive and own and I think this might be the car that mahindra might give constant upgrades and trust me after 2-3 years the scorpios that will be available will be one of the best SUV available in INDIA
P.S-though scorpio is not originally a suv it is a car but due to its sales theres a whole new suv market opened in india from nissans x-trail to hyundai terracan every major comp is launching a new suv in india also please don’t compare the scorpio to the qualis both are diff to each other
