GREAT MOVIE - PLEASE WATCH IT

Farah Khan has proved that she is as good a director as she is a choreographer. This is a movie for all cine goers. This is a movie one can watch with their parents and with their kids as well.

Shahrukh plays the role of an army Major (Major Ram Praad Sharma) whose father is killed by terrorists and as per the promise given to his dying father he goes in search of his brother (Laxman Prasad Sharma or Lucky - reminds you of Golmaal). His brother studies in the same college as the daughter of General Bakshi i.e. Sanjana (Amrita Rao) who is the target of the terrorists. Hence his job is to get his brother and protect the generals daughter.

Although the story is simple there are few subplots which add to the films appeal like Shahrukh being the illegitimate child because of whom his fathers wife leaves the house, Suniel Shetty turning into a terrorist to avenge the death of his son, Amrita Rao’s hatred for her father and so on.

The film has a brilliant comedy track led fantastically by the FORGETFUL principal, Boman Irani, who calls Shahrukh everything from Cadet, Subedar to Wing Commander and Ganeral but never Major. Bindu as the Hindi teacher is good. Satish Shah as the SPITTING professor raises quite a few laughs. But Sushmita dows not look like a Chemistry teacher at all. However her chemistry with Shahrukh is fantastic and one of the highlights of the film is Shahrukh breaking into a song with violins plaaying in background whenever he sees Sushmita.

The subplots have been woven beautifully into the main plot and hence you dont fell as if you are watching different movies. This is not an edge of the seat thriller or a candyfloss romance but a typical Mumbai Masala film with everything thrown in. Hence this will appeal to all sections of society.

The performance of all actors are commendable. Shahrukh is his usual brilliant self in an action role he has performed after a long time. Sushmita is her sexy self. Zayed though needs to brush up his acting skills. Amrita Rao and Kiron Kher are also good in their roles. All the comic actors and the college gang are good.

The chreography of the songs is brilliant (as you would expect). The songs are also very good with good music and good https://lyrics. But the title song definitely takes the cake. But one wishes that a couple of songs be deleted from the movie to make it a perfect movie.

Lest I forget the best part of the movie is the casting and credits and the way they have been picturised at the end of the movie. It is simply brilliant and also acknowledges the behind the scene people by bringing them in front of the camera.

All in all kudos to Shahrukh for producing the film and Farah for directing the way she did it.
