Review of Chinese Bike Cosmo Blaster

First this review has nothing to do with Maintainig a Motor Cycle. I just couldn’t find the right place to write this review so please do not rate me NU.

I always wanted to review this bike after riding it for a month. My friend bought this bike in Hyderabad and bought it over to Chennai and kept it my place. I was having fun with this bike for a week.

Well to start with it costs around Rs.34000/-. It has a 100 cc four stroke engine with four speed gear box with horizontal engine. Well it dosen’t have much fire power as the name suggests but still it is good but cannot be compared to Hero Honda or Bajaj in 100 cc segements. It lacks fire power and there is a rattling sound if you cross above 65kms speed.

Coming to the suspension I found that the both the front and back suspension were stiff and riding it 15kms non stop gives you a severe back ache. The tyres are skinny I dont know the exact measurment but rather looked like a above normal cycle tyre. I got a mileage of around 55kmpl and the bike was around a year old.

The paint job was good and it also has a multi reflector lamp. The front looks like the old Bajaj Pulsar with rounded Headlights. The horn is no good just squeaks. The handling was ok. The seating was somewhat uncomfortable. May be this is due to the stiff suspension. The brakes are quite good but would have been better if it had discs.

Now the best part I liked. It has a electric starter and also a remote starter and this my friend said was the standard. Well the meter has all. It has got a fuel gauge, digital gear indication, odo meter, speedo, rev-counter and indicators.

The only problem is like Karishma all these are in a single box and any damage I don’t know what would happen. It also has a engine kill switch.

I thought it would be difficult to service this bike but to my surprise I found that the bike could be serviced at any road side mechanic shop Well for Rs.34000/- I think this bike is ok with all these gadgets and I am not sure why it is not marketed.

May be our Indian bike manufacturers syndicate are making sure that this bike does not enter the market. This bike would certainly make a dent in their revenue.

To sum up if this bike is marketed well like splendors, pulsars and fieros I think we should be ready for a Chinese invasion in Motor Cycle segement and are we going to complain.
