Manali...crowded yet lovely

Title : Manali. Crowded yet lovely!

Review : Hi all you people I am back after a very very long break..no not the one to manali but break from ms...anyways this time it is about manali.

Manali..to be really honest. I don’t prefer hillstation located in himachal pradesh...I am madly in love with garwhal and kumaon and given a chance would spend most of my vacation over there.

However in the beginning of april after toiling about six months without break or holiday from monotonous routine of my office idea of a nice vacation was making its way in to labryinth of my mind.

And finally one day it found the right spot and it hit me so badly that I decided enough is enough I need a break and then my quest to search for a decent holiday spot begin...once again ms and google were functioning upto their limits looking and searching a hillstation for me.. Came across many hill station in himachal and garwhal.. but problem with garwhal was that any decent place where I wanna go took about a day and a night journey in hills of garwhal is sure shot way to reach to god in midst of his own land ..rem devbhumi..

Anyways finally after lot of consideration I finally decided upon manali though I had already been there twice but that was year ago.

Manali : is a hill station that is about 580 kms from delhi in state himachal pradesh and is very well connected via buses .. Nearest airport is bhuntur and railway head is joginder nagar :

Well journey to manali is very beautiful and scenic but commercialization has taken its toll ...and to be honest I didn’t exactly liked it. However as God would have it he destined to make it a memorable vacation for me..he showered his love and blessings in form of snow just a day before our arrival to manali ..well it didn’t excatly snowed in manali but very near ..its a place called as madhi ...basically route to rohtang pass ..it is about 30 km from manali main town...and view of the beautiful snow capped hill took my breath away...

Accomodation : many many or should I say way too many accomodation available here ...for first fewmoment I didnt even realize its same manali which I visited few year earlier...well u can get anykind of accomodationdepending uponurbudget....

Nearby places: manali in last few years has emerged as a destination for adventure sport lover it offer skiing facility at solang valley about 14 km frm manali during winter and ski at madhi or rohtang duringsummers. Another form of sport that is becoming extremely popular is heliskiing ..in which a helicopter drops u on a peak and u can ski from there....guided toursare available in every nook and corner of manali main market however north face is one major group which I would recommend.....in summer solang valley offers other attraction as horse riding para gliding.. for about 500 buck bit expensive for 2-3 minutes in air but believe its completely safe and an amazing exp ...ppl r well trained have good equipment over there you can also bringin ur glider and practise here ...you can also go for river rafting however for that you have to come down from manali to nearby town beyond kullu. other places r maily temple or u canwander into club house where ucan enjoy river crossing and other games..and best is just wander in thoese beautifl forest or sit near river during day and enjoy beauty of nature...however I must warn its bit crowded. However it is still a beautiful place.

People: ppl r nice here and all tour rates are fixed by union so u don’t have to worry a lot about tours.

Shopping: This is first time I have ever shopped so much I bought almost something for everyone in my family and friends. U can buy authetic kullu shawls jackets here. Then u can buy local artifacts and handicarft items...etc but be sureto bargain and bargainreally hard ........as u get pretty cool discounts.

Well I would say its a very beautiful place if one wants to see nature with all comforts of modern life ..and for adventure seeker however for true nature lover who loves untamed beauty of nature...I would u say u will find it okie but not fulfilling. However for adventure seeker its paradise ...I can’t believe I did ski para gliding river crossing rock climbing all in three day.. overall I would say nice place to visit.
