Do not take your loved ones to Manipal

This is to let everybody know that I lost my little innocent sister because of the gross negligence of the doctors at Manipal Hospital. She was a 22-yr old girl and a state rank holder. The doctors had literally killed her. They kept her under the hospitalization for 2 months and still couldn’t diagnose the right problem. Even on repeated requests from my parents and my sister, they never tried to find out the root cause of her problem. They were extremely rude.

She had got an MRSA endocarditis and the stupids were treating her with Tuberculosis even when all the tests were negative. They were over confident all the time. They didn’t follow any protocol . Even when they couldn’t get hold of the problem, they didn’t refer any other doctor. She had fever all over the period during two months and when she went back after 2 months, the idiot Dr Holla recommended her Viral medicines. Is this believable? I am also jotting down the series of events in her course of treatment:

  1. March 1 - 9: She was initially treated for throat infection.

  2. March 10 - 14: She was admitted in Manipal Hospital Bangalore on the 10th March. Treatment for throat infection was stopped.never looked at this again since they found an abscess in her kidney

  3. March 14 - 25 Diagnosis was made for kidney abscess and the treatment for the same was initiated. However, in one of the blood test reports the presence of MRSA was suggested and this very crucial fact was ignored completely. Additionally, the persisting cough problem was ignored despite continual requests from the patient and the parents in this regard.

  4. March 26 - she was discharged even though the blood report showed WBC count of 14, 000

  5. March 27 - April 12 she fell very sick again but was being treated through the OPD and was not admitted even though she had persistent high fever.

  6. April 12 - 23 On request she was readmitted and the treatment for MRSA was started. Simultaneously, she was also prescribed and administered medication for TB even though all the tests for the same were reported negative.

  7. April 24 - she was discharged despite having persistent high fever. WBC count was 14, 000.

  8. April 28 - she visited Dr. Holla who gave an injection to reduce fever but did not admit her

In short the reason never ever to choose Manipal:

  1. Doctors are incapable and extremely rude. They are not at all sympathetic or responsive to the patient

  2. They do not have any logic or knowledge while doing their job.

  3. The management charged us twice for the same test. I have two bills. As sson as they see the insurance, they charge more on regular tests.CT Scnas cost 7500/- , for insurance covered people itbecame 11000/-

4.Dr Holla treated her with TB just because of his ego problem that a junior doctor could find MRSA and not him.

5.The doctors do not listen to patient’s question. Its a crime to ask them any questions. They are the busiest beings on the earth.

  1. I drafted an email studying all the reports and asked them to justify that and they responded saying, we did an internal inquiry by a team of experts and they do not find anything wrong with the course of treatments.

The Manipal Hospital is nothing but a money making institute. They are killers disguised as doctors. PLease do not take your loved ones here. I have seen my sister suffer through 3 months of struggel and she had to give up at the end.

We had taken her to CMC vellore wher e the doctor found the heart infection on Day1 but it was way beyond control..
