Thanx for all your advice on higher profile tyres. My car does not skid now. But the mileage reported by me has received nearly a tongue lashing from you all. But what can I do. The last four mileage figures are as follows
35.1lts for 533 km 33 lts for 475 km 39 lts for 510km and 41.1 lts for 606 km.
All distances are tankful to tankful. However there is a thing or two about the conditions of driving. I drive a lot in the diplomatic enclave and Parliament region in Delhi. I face only two signals on my way to and back from Office. I am of course past adventurous driving. I drive safe, steady and rarely cross 1500 rpm. But isnt it difficult to cross 2000 rpm in the city without excessive use of brakes? Every 300 to 600 meters there would be a junction/circle etc.
For all you nay sayers, the worst mileage I have got in this car is a 310 km for 29.3 lts on the way to Joshimath from Ukhimath (Garhwal region).
By the way, I too had the experience of a couple of well meaning friends telling me that Honda City would heve been a better secondhand buy. I had to show one of them te odometer before he would believe that my Baleno is new.
