My mileage was also near 21 to 22 for some time. Reading on the meter never went up above 7.8. But after about 3000 km, it improved stedily. Today I filled in 9.4 kg for 232 km. Mileage will improve. CNG does not redce the engine life. Google and you will get sufficient scientific answers to your Read More...

Richie, Removing the spare wheel is cumbersome. The rear seat is to be swivelled forward towards the front passenger's seat (pivot on left side behind the driver) and the spare wheel can be accessed. I have practised twice and can do so in an emergency.

Dr Nitin, Buy Petrol Brio and convert to CNG. Don't worry due to its effects in terms of mechanical deterioration on gasoline engines - that is urban legend! Liquid gasoline sprayed into cylinders are immediately transformed into gaseous elements, and so does CNG which when decompressed turns int Read More...
1. I got the CNG fitted by the Honda Dealer before delvery and got the car registered as a vehicle modified for CNG. There are a few Brios in Ahmedabad running on CNG. It is legal otherwise neither would the Authorised dealer fitted the kit nor would the RTO registered the vehicle. 2. Is it a norm Read More...
Iyer, CNG factory fitment is Rs 60000. A little more for registration. I am on 'only petrol' now and displayed mileage is 14.6 kmpl. I will switch over to CNG after i fill a talnkful of petrol in a day or two. CNG mileage will be known in a month or so. Dealer says CNG mileage is about 25 km per kg Read More...

Jas, If U try to move from 0 in second gear with half clutch and drive in similar style, the mileage U are getting is not unexpected. Except in Delhi, one can hardly use 20% of the available power. 30 kmph in fifth gear is definitely better than most cars. Baleno, of course, used to pick up from Read More...

Answer to your queries. If the fuse blows, change it. Fuses rarely blow. In my 12 years of extensive driving....never. If you are so concerned, ask the service mechanic to give U a 20 min lecture and U will be able to do it yourself. Except for Bihar / West Bengal roads, bottom will never touch Read More...

Comparing Aveo with SX4 is pointless. Aveo has typically good finish but falters on all other fronts. SX4 mileage in Delhi's speedy traffic is 12.5 to 13 kmpl. I have done 3500 km and find it is a fantastic car. The only other alternative is Honda City, albiet with lesser features.

Baleno exchanged to SX4 club. (BETS) I am also a member. Rear seat headrests are tolerable when fitted front side back. It allows the rear passenger better recline too.

Smartdoc is a diehard anti-maruti man. He has now said that Maruti guys are fixing some problems with the SX4 and hence the delay. Downright stupid suggestion. He is mebbe jealous since he probably got his City before SX4 was launched. The back of the envelope calculation of 100 cars is appears Read More...

smartdoc, Congrats on your Honda City. I have heard that the demand for ZXi is far greater than VXi and the production is running full capacity. As far as advertising is concerned, Maruti havent believed much in it. The Zen, another splendid car was advertised only in 1998-99 after Santro gave so Read More...

I got an initial mileage of 13 in Delhi yesterday. This included a lot of experimental driving, acceleration to 120 kmph on Greater Noida expressway, testing of brakes from these speeds etc. I am confident I will get a mileage of about 14 kmpl on a regular basis.
Vikashv, Dilsoft has hit the nail on the head. City spares are thrice as costly as SX4. SX4 is more economical to maintain. People preferring refined 77 bhp to raw 100 bhp is again presumptuous. What matters really is the power in the midrange and SX4 has loads of it. SX4 suffers in comparison Read More...
vikashv, You have presumptuously assumed mileage of SX4 as 10 and 14 for the Honda City. Many reviewers have reported mileage between 13 to 15 for the sx4. Honda city definitely will have a better mileage but not 40% better than the sx4. I agree that old Zen cannot be compared to the City. City Read More...
