You get great two year old Maruti Esteems at half the showroom price. Great value for money. Can be serviced at any of the thousands of MAS centres countrywide. Parts are much cheaper than the latest cars. Really gives 12 -13 Kmpl in the city and at least 16 km on highways on a fully loaded car. The Esteem VX version comes loaded with a Kenwood Stereo, Power windows, central locking, power steering and air conditioning and a cavernous boot. The A/C is a bit underpowered though. The car is fast and the low seating brings the centre of gravity really low for super control at higher speeds (ever notice that most rally cars are Esteems ?)
Don’t buy the 1000 cc variant even if you get it very cheap unless you want to keep switching off the AC to overtake.
