Superb Car!!!!!

Guys...this is my first review in MS :)

In Mar 2009 I bought Swift Vxi (Red color) from Sagar Automobiles, B’lore. Earlier I had Alto & my experience driving Swift is just amazing. Since I upgraded from 800 cc to 1300 CC...it just rocks.

It has very comfortable in driviving & ofcourse alto to swift...just can’t compare.

Mileage, yes it may not be that great since in my alto; I used to get 15-16 in city but swift gives approx 12-13 which is OK I guess; considering its space & power. I drive approx 40 kms / day in busy road like Old Madras road.

Until first svc; I didn’t look for mileage now since I have done my first service & when I checked full tank to full; I was able to run 470 kms for 36 ltrs (approx)..that means close to 13 kms / ltr. yet to chk in highway

One thing which I want to highlight here is; in this car there is no fuel indicator light as we get in other makes. For instance; if you take India..as soon as the fuel needle touch the reserve area..a light will glow..this feature doesn’t exist in Swift

Second is, rear seats are not double foldable; unlike in Getz / Indica..you can double fold completely

Hope this is useful info for new car buyers......

cheers

*Update as on 18-May-2009:

Mileage in highway: Guy’s last week end I took it to Mys & kept my avg speed between 80-110 & I got mileage approx 14 KMPL with AC on.

Stability / Road Grip: Car was very stable even when I touched max speed of 130 but you dont feel when it crosses 110 & is very steady

As of now I have done around 2000 Kms; hope my mileage will improve in future.

Guys, tell me one thing; have you heard about ’nitrogen gas’. I guess it will cost around 200 rs & is there any impact on its mileage? I think with rRajeev_Vermact to comfort, it does makes difference; but not sure about the mileage. anybody can suggest me on this?

Update as of 04-Nov-10:

Hi all, wanted to share one of my experience in highway. Last month, I was travellnig to Munnar. We had left Blr early in the mor at around 3am & reached Salem by 5am & one of my good family friend was driving my swift at around 120 kmph speed. We reached Salem in just 2 hrs...imagine the speed. Car was fully loaded with 6 people having 4 adults & two childrens.

When we passed salem..still my friend was on wheel at a speed of 120+ KMPH, while over taking one tempo..he came thru middle of the road..where there was no road divider...but suddetnly we approached the divider....by the time we could realize that there is road divider...my swift went on the divider & collapsed after jumping over (only driver side wheel went on the divider) ......all of us were in shock!!!!!!

Immediately we got down from the car & I put the hazard lamp & saw my front - driever side wheel had come out & rim was badly damanged. Nothing happend to anone of us..just had small scrach near the bumper...but my darling swift took & abosorbed the impact...

After 5 mins....i took my limping swift slowly towards left side of the road....replaced it with stepni & went ahead driving myself.

We travelled > 1200 kms..without stepni...overall I got around 15.5 kms of mileage, usage of AC ..here & there

With this, just I wanted to quote how SAFE IS MY SWIFT :):) poor car...absorbed the whole impact...nothing happend to anybody in the car
