I was lurched by a TV ad and landed up taking a country specific sim for a 1 month period (March to April) of 2007 on my business trip to USA. The sales lady was very efficient and came down home with a simcard and phone.
The pain started with the first bill, which had different charges applied than what was provided to me in the original subscription.
Called up customer care and they had no clue on what was happening. I emailed them with details and they promised to get back, which they never did.
3. Someone was to come and collect the sim + phone, which did not happen till the first week of June, when finally an executive landed and collected it in the first week of June.
Customer care calls up after 1 week and enquirers about sim card and when told that its already been returned says "ok" and cuts the line.
End of July, I get a bill for 247 rupees, and is deducted from my credit card! Called up customer care and they have no clue.. ask them to reverse the charges and it never happens!
September 15, Rs.1000 is debited on the credit card again for lost sim card!!!!! ... called up and shouted at customer care, who promised to get back in 2 days and they never get back,
September 28, Rs.5151 is debited on the credit card again!!! and custom care has no clue again!!!
I am planning on filing a legal complaint on Matrix Cellular for credit card fraud if they do not reverse my charges in a week’s time.
