We bought a brand new c180 in 2003 and though we were buying a reliable car! We were in for the surprise of our lives. I wish to tell my story to everyone that I meet so that I can help and save people from falling in a trap laid by MB India.
First off, I want to say that I am a car lover and so is my dad. the decision to buy the car was done in a matter of minutes. Just bought it. We keep 3 cars that we change every 3 years and drive and maintain our cars very very well. I am sure just about everyone who spends a lot and loves cars does that.
Although I can write a book about the things wrong with MB India, its dealers and the C class, here is what I had to spend:
In 4.5 years:
-drove 24500 kms
-spent approx Rs. 135, 000(9 services x 15k) in scheduled maintainence
-spent 4000 kms driving to and from repair
-spent about Rs. 350, 000(Invoices to prove that) in repairs that were completely due to bad engineering and faulty electronics
-spent hundreds of hours talking to MB India, its dealers, its company in Pune who does not give a sh*t about customer service
Mark my words.do not fall in the trap. NEVER buy a Merc. Check the reviews of hundreds of customers that Benz India has cheated.
