I have always had problems with merucabs. I only try it if no other option is available. On 28th-dec I booked a trip. I got the driver details on time. But cab did not show up on time. I called the driver and he said "he is nearby and will reach soon". He did not turn up. I called and the driver stopped picking up the phone.
Then I got an SMS with details of a different driver. Again I wait and nothing happens. Finally, after repeated calling, the second driver picks up the phone and says he is nearby. He claims that the scheduled time is 5 PM(when the original scheduled time was 4:30 PM). He already had my address.
I give him directions. Then after some time when he doesn’t turn up, I call again. Now he says he has reached some other place, following my directions! Then he says he will not come to my place. Thankfully, knowing merucab’s quality, I had kept enough buffer time and I did not miss my train. I took an auto instead. I vowed to myself never ever to trust merucabs again.
