sorry to hear your trouble. Did the agent alter the application form you filled? Did you get 15 day look in period? I think you have a genuine case for redressal with IRDA if you can submit the case with documentary evidence.

oh yes... i too got an email (not a letter... just an email) saying my iTerm insurance contract has been changed. I cannot understand how a signed contract can be changed by one party without seeking consent from the other party. How is IRDA allowing this?

my BIL took iTerm product and he was lucky to receive good customer support. Probably because based on his age and habits, they said no medical tests are necessary. Inspirations doesn't honour any snapdeal voucher. The moment they hear snapdeal voucher, their tone changes immediately and they run of any free slots for appointment.
