Denial of Service by Driver

What about the guaranteed Airport facility by the Meru? Does the company list it as an assured service just for name sake and marketing? Well I was a victim of Meru Cab’s continuously worsening services this time as well, I booked a cab for my 31st Dec airport drop 2 days earlier and my booking was accepted for 4 am pickup.


I got a chauffeur assigned and I called him for the pickup status, the driver was just around 3 kms away from my pickup point and he asked me to cancel the booking as he is not willing to come 3 kms to pick me up and asked me book another nearby cab. I called the customer support for the denial of service and they assured me a pickup and asked me to wait for 10 mins for their callback, even after 20 mins I got no response from them and on calling them again the customer support asked me to cancel the booking and book another Meru Cab, it was already 4:20 am and my flight was at 6:30 am, they simply wasted my time with no solution. What the heck is the use of such company who cannot control their useless drivers and if the customer has to do all the followup then what is the use of the customer support.


Finally I booked a Uber who sent a cab within 5 mins and I was able to reach the airport in just the right time for the check in. This is a cheat company as they didn’t cancelled the booking themselves as they would have to pay Rs. 500 for non fulfillment of services. Back in May 2016 another Meru driver left me and my wife with a 16 months infant stranded on the road in rain due to break failure of his cab, the customer support again couldn’t provide me any alternative cab, this all shows how unreliable Meru Cabs have become.
