In A Hurry To Catch A Flight, Think About Your Lug

If you intend to travel to Latin America (the Caribbean, Central and South Americas), for sure, you will have to go through Miami Int’l Airport. On many occasions, I have found myself using this airport because of my job and family needs. If you have never been there, I will tell you that it’s one of the busiest airports in the world. Consider, for a moment, that it is at the crossroads of many international nations. In the past few years, migration of Latin Americans to the U.S.A either legally or illegally has skyrocketed. All the legal migrants have to arrive at this airport. More than that, this airport has the hubs of many national airlines and international companies. On any given day, you can see planes from France, Canada, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, and you name the country of origin.

Amenities are well located

If you arrive early at the airport, you will be able to hang out at the various coffee shops and restaurants that operate at the airport. You can also drop by one of these stores to grab a few magazines to kill the time. Sip some cafe latte or mocha while you wait. If you want to make a phone call (in case you don’t have your cell phone...), you will be able to use the public phones. And if you are out of cash, just head right to the nearby ATMs. While you are waiting for your flight, you will do some great people gazing. It is so mind boggling to see some fellow passengers not paying attention to their luggage. They either are talking over the phone or start a conversation with some buddies while the thieves are studying each of their moves on the floor of the airport. Airports thefts and losses can be staggering every year. Unfortunately, there are some bad guys whose job is to steal from you.

One thing I like about Miami Int’l Airport is that no matter how many people go through it, its restrooms never seem to be too crowded. At least, I am writing from a guy’s standpoint! Even for the ladies, I have never seen long lines outside their restrooms. In reality, it all depends on where you use a restroom. If you are by a very popular flight departure desk, you may have some delay. Overall, it is not so bad. Restrooms are multiple and are strategically located.

Another aspect of the airport that I specially like is the fact that there are employees who speak practically all the major languages of the world. This is a great effort from the part of the administration to hire people who speak various languages. It could so hectic when somebody needs information in his/her own language and not be able to receive it besides watching the screens which often don’t say much other than the flights are delayed.

If you are going to have to change airplanes in Miami Int’l airport, you should make plans to walk quite a long distance to the next desk. If you are lucky enough to arrive close to where you will catch your next flight, then it is OK. Otherwise, I would advise you to get one these shuttles that transport old passengers, handicapped and children. Do whatever you need to do to get to where you need to be for your next flight!

Enjoy your flight today!
