With all such Gadgets, Missions are Possible !

My mind is completely blank. I could even imagine what they showed in War of worlds and Minority report. But I just go numb when I see the gadgets in our blessed Mi ‘s.

The amusement goes a step further when they use them too. They actually pick them up and just know what to do with them and where and how to point them. It all looks as easy for them as to use the sms services on a mobile phone.

I find myself left alone, as if I’m awaken after a frozen sleep just like they powered back Austin. It ‘s so fascinating that I even tend to ignore the story line.

Wait a minute! Did I say ‘a story line’? Was it there? OK! Let’s just go through it.

A Terrorist with his group, a secret government agency, a heroic ‘proven’ commando with his team(too), his beurocratic friends & enemies, a virus or a nuclear threat and to dress it all well and sell those soft and mushy moments – ‘The Girlfriend’ or ‘The Wife’ or even ‘the Daughter’ in some movies.

True Lies. The Rock. Minority Report. Commando. Judge Dread. Face Off.

Superman(now that’s too much)

Batman

Spiderman

MI-1-2-3

The basic storyline is jus the same. We just have to knit the characters together and there we are.

But if we are so repetitive in our ideas then how do we sell it.

Remember? The difference between plain vanilla and hot chocolate fudge is that molten chocolate and nuts make you forget about the underlying vanilla.

So let there be some cool stuff to zap you away.

“Oh wow! What a movie.” is what a 15-19 yrs old would say because it’s so fascinating to see a bomb of a size of a one-inch capsule that can be inserted in a person’s body through nose using a gun that looks like an ear piercing machine.(Please let me keep mentioning, just for the fun of it to see how many I remember…) A chip – strip, of course, that changes your voice when put on one’s throat. Making, putting and removing the facemask is what I will give a flat 10 on 10 on the entire list of ‘fascinating’ stuff.

But for a grown up? I say ‘bingo’. They hit the nail on the head. They are able to fascinate them also. After all how many of us sit to think about this short one and a half hour alternate life called movie that we just lived while watching it. Don’t you flinch when “Ethan Hunt” jumps off a skyscraper? So that’s how you become Ethan Hunt when you watch him doing that. And after that, all you remember is how he landed and moved on to do his next stunt to steal away your attention from that same old monotonous story line of saving the country and ‘the Lady’.

Moreover, I say, if you got all these gadgets then Missions are not all that Impossible.

By-the-Way.Did anyone notice that no one had ever mentioned about his or her salaries for doing such an amazing work?
