Charming low budget film about a typical upside Delhi Punjabi Family headed by Lalit (Naseerudin Shah) and wife Pimmi (Lillete Dubey) whose only daughter, Aditi (Vasundhara Das) is getting married. LIke all typical Punjabi Weddings there is lots of commotion and last minute preparatiions, Music, Songs, Mehndi (For those who dont know mehndi is the occasion where girls apply henna on their hands), party. He has to deal with a typical event organiser P.K.Dubey (Superb performncae by Vijay Raaz) who falls in love with the house maid, Alice (Tilotama Shome). There are also innumerable relatives, C.L.Chadha (Kulbushan Kharbanda), Ayesha (A sexy Neha Dubey), Tej Puri (Rajat Kapoor), Ria (Shefali Shetty), Mohan Rai (Roshan Sheth), Saroj (Soni Razda). Towards the end and just a day before the marrraige a dark hiden past is discovered by Ria which would change everything completely. The film is very fun filled especially the romantic track involving Dubey and Alice. Lagely inspired from another amazing comedy, Father Of The Bride. Jas Arora has an uncredited Cameo.

1) The film was made on a budget of Rs 15 million and shot almost entirely with a hand held camera.
2) It won the golden lion awards at the venice film festival and got the 3rd place in the people’s choice award at the Toronto Film Festival. It was almost to be the Indian contender for the oscar nominations till Lagaan beat everybody.
