Once upon a time, Moti Soap due to the kind of its Publicity through different Ads shown in the TV, was quite a popular brand of soap. Among the different fragrances marketed, Moti White Cream soap is the one shown in Ads which is placed in between ravishing glossy white pearls. Also, every leading magazine or any other publication did contain an advertisement of Moti Soap.
Moti Soap:
During the earlier 80s Moti Luxury Bath Soap was the best of its kind and mainly considered best to be suited for the upper-class of people. The true reason remained to be its cost aspect. A small bar of Moti Soap costed almost around INR 25/- which was quite an elevated cost during those years. Even mini sized bars weighing around 50g were sold to facilitate the purchase of travellers. Only now we find Hamam and such other soaps also marketing similar mini-soaps, whereas in those days only Moti sold mini-soaps too to promote the sales.
Fragrances:
Moti Soap comes in two superb fragrances, viz., Scented White Cream & Sandal.
White Cream Moti:
The White Cream Moti Soap almost resembles our Lux soap but it is a round shaped soap like the Mysore Sandal. But of course, Mysore Sandal is also marketed in an oval shape. The white cream Moti is a cream-rich soap. It has moisturizing agents which keeps the skin smooth and glossy. So, you don’t require to use moisturizers after bathing. This would be best suited for normal & dry skins. Prolonged usage of the cream Moti Soap has been proven to take away the cracks from the skin and makes gruffy skin smoother.
Since the white Moti Soap retains the moisture of the skin and gives it a long-lasting shine, the aged looks due to dryness of the skin is prevented. This is made of 100% vegetable oils and contains absolutely no artificial, chemical or animal ingredients.
Moti Sandal:
This is a round-shaped half-cream (semi-sandal) coloured soap having a very mild fragrance of sandal. Like the cream soap, the sandal soap also contains pure vegetable oils, natural moisturizing agents and some of the essential natural components. I have used Moti Sandal soap and really enjoyed my bathing experience with its mild sandal aroma. The sandal incense on the skin lasts longer, giving a freshness throughout the day.
Some thoughts about Moti:
GOOD:
•Due to the natural ingredients in Moti Soaps, it does not cause any allergy even on the most sensitive skins
•Has natural moisturizing agents which keeps the skin smooth & glossy
•The fragrances are very pleasant and found to last longer on the skin
BAD:
•There are no anti-bacterial ingredients and so not recommended for use of children
•Dissolves faster when compared with other slow-liquefying soaps – Fragrance lasts longer, but the Soap does not….!!!
•High Cost
Conclusion:
Of late, it is a fact that Moti Soap has lost its charm, the reason being the excessive competition in the market and the more & more upcoming many other brands offering same variety of soaps (with similar fragrances too) at very competitive prices. Also, Moti Soaps are not advertised extensively lately which is a major cause for their downfall in the industry.
But for the higher cost of Moti Soap (125 gms Bar costing around INR 52/-), as far as I have used this soap, I would say that it really gives a wonderful refreshing feeling and the fragrance is sure to last longer. Since I was gifted 2 Moti sandal soaps, I did use it and it is an indisputable fact that it keeps the skin smooth & glossy. Otherwise I don’t wish to switch over from my regular brand since I am completely satisfied with my customary product.
As for the quality, I do recommend Moti Soap to my dearest friends…
I hope that this review was of little help ….. I would be happy to receive your precious RRCs.
