No doubt, Motorola Motoming 1200 is an excellent cel phone with great value for money.I am not satisfied by its service back-up, which is aimed in making money rather than offering genuine support. After a year’s usage of my motoming, I was unable to get the sounf from the speaker located in the flap.
This generally happens by wearing away of the delicate strip wire connections.When I visited the authorised service centre at Thane (West), the engineer there told me that the whole flap needs to be replaced and will cost me Rs. 4, 500. I told him that a one year old second hand cell will cost me only Rs. 4000 so whats the use of paying rs. 4, 500.
I approached a local unauthorized repair shop that repaired my cell for Rs. 300 by replacing the worn out wire, and the handset is working fine.So, this is the way motorola service centers are cheating its consumers.
