Place of Usage 3rd Block Koramangala
I got the MTS Mblaze Standard Device today 7th August 2010 for 899 INR. The demo at Koramangala BDA complex showed me a download speed of 1Mbps which was quite fine. The plans are good 999 INR 15GB broadband + unlimited 1x CDMA plan, which means after 15 GB I will be switched to 1X CDMA Plan. I installed the device on the system. The activation only took 30 minutes. Thats the best part, Reliance and Tata Photon you have to wait for at least 2 days and there are always lot of issues with activation.
Everything went on fine till I hit the speed issue. The connectivity speed is just around 144Kbps. I tried changing the device options from Broadband to Hybrid and vice versa, no luck. I do not know how I will finish using my 15GB with this kind of a speed !!!!!!!!!!! So I called up customer care.
The first call dropped while speaking to the guy. (not sure if its their issue or the cell phone network)The second call was handled fine and I got a complaint number and resolution promised in 3 days. I shot an email to customer care and got a replies within 15 minutes. That is a wonderful response time I have ever got. Also not quite sure if the speed issue has to do something with the activation and verification of address. Need to hold on for 3 days and if I dont find a resolution the escalation path is Nodal Officer, Appellate Authority, TRAI and emails to Brand India and head and VPs of MTS.
I will update if my speed issue gets resolved. Rest everything is fine. I really like the TV option where I dont have to pay for anything extra and just my data usage is fine to support it. Other providers charge for this. Also the trend micro is a good addon security free with the connection.
So finally here is how I have decided to escalate this issue. This is a good note for people who are complaining. I would say stop complaining and start escalating. I have drafted the email for MTS India Brand CEO and their board of directors and kept it ready if I do not hear it from the Nodal Officer. Today I have escalated this to the Nodal Officer and I am waiting for the response. Future course would be CEO of MTS India and then if that also fails probably the Appellate Authority and finally TRAI :) Lets see how the events turn up....
So finally after waiting for 2 days no resolution came. got the email id of the CEO of MTS and send an email to him at 09/11/2010 4:35 AM, will have to see if there is a reply and follow up on that from MTS.
Today 11/09/2010 I reached a speed of 1Mbps finally its seems quite stable, not quite sure if this is due to the morning blues :) need to check if MTS has finally fixed my issue :)No resolution as of First week of October.
Today October 18th after the ETA informed to me by Customer Care Head Karnataka, I just came back from vacation and to my amazement Voilaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am now receiving 1.5mbps to max 2.14 mbps speed. Attached is the link for the screenshot..
