When I was in the University I was voted as a member of the hogging Brigade (a group of students who are always seen eating and love eating) and I dont refute those allegations. I am a true lover of food. My roomates during my masters in the US too shared this hobby and that made us pretty compatible. I am game for anything but then at the same time I too like others have a few on my hate list. The 5 Indian food items that prominently figure on my alltime hatelist
Cheeeeeese: I simply hate cheese. It smells yucky. It combined with anything tones down the true taste and gives it the tase of cheese. The smell of cheese is so strong that it blankets the smells of other ingredients added to that particular preparation. I once went to Pizza Hut and ordered a large pizza with all the toppings but with no cheese. A young American group sitting on an adjacant table saw that, passed a comment that I was crazy and then went ahead and ordered it to try something different. The outcome: They liked it. I also once ordered a chicken Parmegian with no cheese. ;-)
Ghee: Sheee. The smell is offensive. Its liquid death. It increases your cholosterol levels and has tons of saturated fats.
Dahi: Whats the fun in eating dahi (yogurt). I dont mind using it for marinating chicken or as a part of moghlai preparations. But plain dahi sucks.
Butter: tons of saturated fat, makes you gain weight rapidly.
Lassi/butter milk: No way wud I ever try it.
and then I hate Rajma(kidney beans).....they are so amazingly slimy that I could use it as a lubricant for my car.
I may have missed a few more. But hey! these are somethings I hate. I know that a lot of people relish that stuff, and I dont mean to offend them. Its just a matter of choice so guys take it easy.
