V Good but Needs to be little organized

Narayana Netralaya is well known from the word of mouth hence took my 8 year old daughter for ey checkup. The Hospital is located next to Iskon temple in Rajajinagar. I happened to go on 15 Aug as it was leave for me and my wife. The hospital was crowded on this auspucious day. (My bad).

The reception ladies were helpful in explaining the process. Rs 200/- initially for first time goers.

She said to fill the form and wait for 10 min. The waiting period clock is on now. I was promptly called within 10 min and the good thing was we could pay by Card. Then we had to go to 2nd floor for the eye checkup called ARR. The waiting period here was 25-30 min. After ARR you need to submit the form againand wait for the staff girls to call out your name. The place is wide and quiet and the nurses voices are not audible enough and during crowded places you need to walk upto them to find out if your name was called out. As there are 4 rooms diagonally, so focus, however no big deal you would be called anyways. You have to wait another 30 min here for it. Now in checkup is the time you read out the alphabets where the nurses keeps interchanging lenses. They ask for previous history/nature of problem/test status etc and document the details accordingly. They humbly say to wait again. Now the staff girl comes with a torch for eye drops. You have to wait for 1 hour after the drops are put.

Luckily there is Tea/Coffee in the hospital premises and also canteen. Trust me the taste is like a star hotel. You get meals for 30/- and beverages cost 7/-. The taste is awesome and worth more than the price This almost surpassed the waiting time :)

Now was asked to go to ARR again for the scan after the eye drops. Got the results and had to wait again for the doctor finally. The doctor gave the final verdict and we proceed to specs counter.

Here is what marketing comes into picture. The last impression!

The sales girls are bent on selling a carl zeiss lens. They suggest all possibilities for it to push. Normal specs was what I intended as we had to change again as suggested by the doctor after 6 months. I then went for the lower end lens of Carl zeiss, well had to!. They are ready to courier the specs to my residence and it would take 3 days. Good.

Overall first experience good but its not organised as the patients who came after you would be called before irrespective of nature of the issue. The marketing of costly lens in the end. Everything else was good and I would reccommend this hospital to anyone if the above two given is not a major concern. 9/10 for infrastructure/staff attitude/medical care etc.
